What a wedding was had yesterday by all at the Botleys Mansion wedding for Charles and Tanya!! There was so much going on, it’s so hard to know where to start to describe the fun we all had. So I’ll leave that for their blog post soon to come. (You can now read about their wedding in this blog poast: http://www.cliveblair.co.uk/botleys-mansion-wedding-tanya-charlie/)

But for the meantime, I’ll let you know there were: 2 Father Christmases! (Yes for a wedding in June! The blog post will explain all), a chimney sweep with a black cat sitting on his shoulder, 2 London Red Buses, some drone videography footage recorded (Tiago and Sandra you we’re fantastic!), 3 Waiters singing during the wedding breakfast to entertain the guests and a final photoshoot at night in the pouring rain (Charles and Tanya you were troopers. Thank you!)

While you wait for the blog post I’ll just post one of my favourite images from the night-time rain session.

What Is a Documentary Wedding Photographer?

This is an often asked question. In simple terms it means being an observer and recorder of your wedding, with little interference. If you’re familiar with Star Trek, think of it in terms of The Temporal Prime Directive: To visit, to watch, not to interfer and to bring back a record.
