I just love receiving totally unsolicited letters, emails etc. from couples whose wedding I’ve covered. Just over a week ago I photographed Matthew and Hollie’s wedding at Hampton Manor. It was day of surprises for everyone with a surprise first dance routine, surprise fireworks and surprise sparkler exit just to name a few. So I can’t wait to share the images with you, but for now here’s an email I’ve just received form the new Mr and Mrs Brittain, plus a sneak peek image until the rest are ready.

Good evening Clive,

We hope that you are well. We just wanted to take a couple minutes to say a massive thank you to you for being with us on our special day. From the first moment we met you, you have been very professional and have always taken the time to listen to our wishes for the big day. Everyone has said that from the moment you arrived at Hollies house you made everyone feel at easy and relaxed, and it was like you were not there! During the whole day you were there to capture so many magical moments with us and our guests. Everyone said how good it was to see a photographer who was there to capture special moments but did not run up to you with a camera shoved in your face! We really can not wait to see what the photos that you took if they are anything like our pre-wedding shoot ones then we are sure that they will be fantastic. We have already had some great words from our guests about the ones which you put onto the big screen, people said that if you could show them off to everyone within a couple hours after taking them then that shows just how great the photographer is! We are really looking forward to seeing the ones in the trees! ;-). Once again Clive, thank you. We look forward to hearing from you in the next couple of weeks,

Kind regards

The new Mr and Mrs Brittain!

What Is a Documentary Wedding Photographer?

This is an often asked question. In simple terms it means being an observer and recorder of your wedding, with little interference. If you’re familiar with Star Trek, think of it in terms of The Temporal Prime Directive: To visit, to watch, not to interfer and to bring back a record.
